Realme appears to be taking inspiration from Apple to inspire the design of its new Realme C55. As the first-ever Realme phone to include the feature, the company has integrated a capsule situated at the top of the screen that looks nearly identical to Apple’s Dynamic Island.
Apple debuted its Dynamic Island on 2022’s iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. The pill-shaped icon allows users to monitor alerts and check in-progress activities, such as songs currently playing, for example.
On the Realme C55, the capsule will showcase low battery alerts, charging status and data consumption, according to GSM Arena, which reported first on the feature. It’ll also indicate step count and walking distance for each day once a future update rolls out.
As for the other specs on the Realme C55, the phone comes packed with a 5,000 mAh battery, three separate cameras, a USB-C and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The Helio G88 SoC grants the phone 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.
The Realme C55 comes in “Rainy Night” and “Sunshower” colorways. The phone will go on sale in Indonesia beginning today, March 8. A 6GB model is priced at $160 USD, while the 8GB model goes for $195 USD.
