Ray LaMontagne announces new album Long Way Home, 2024 tour

Ray LaMontagne announces new album Long Way Home, 2024 tour

Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Ray LaMontagne is emerging from the woods with some new music in tow. Long Way Home, a nine-song LP, is set to arrive on August 16th via his own Liula Records, with a single titled “Step Into Your Power” scheduled to drop ahead of the full release on June 5th.

Famously resistant to the spotlight, LaMontagne has also mapped out a string of headlining US performances, which will be sandwiched between his previously announced co-headline dates with Gregory Alan Isakov. The freshly announced shows include stops in Dallas, New Orleans, Birmingham, and Orlando.

Long Way Home was produced with Seth Kauffman, and is described as an album that channels “the folk-rock explosion of the early seventies.” His tour guests The Secret Sisters provide background vocals on three of the songs.

“Every song on Long Way Home is in one way or another honoring the journey,” LaMontagne shared in a statement. “The languorous days of youth and innocence. The countless battles of adulthood, some won, more often lost. It’s been a long hard road, and I wouldn’t change a minute.”

LaMontagne’s last album, Monovision, was released in 2020.
