Andrew has four selections over jumps at Exeter, Market Rasen and Wetherby on Tuesday, March 22nd. Follow his tips this week and all year round on horse racing betting sites with the lowdown on his latest picks below:
EXETER 3.36
DEEPER BLUE (system – Harry Fry, Exeter runners)
Simply backing all of Harry Fry’s runners at Exeter would have found 44 winners from 141 bets (31.2% strike-rate) for a profit of £71.88 to a £1 level stake at SP. DEEPER BLUE, a facile winner at Fontwell 72 hours ago, can defy a 7lb penalty in this 2m2.5f handicap hurdle.
MARKET RASEN 3.55
MIDNIGHT GLANCE (system – damsire Midnight Legend, jumps, February to May)
Horses with Midnight Legend as their damsire are 28 from 152 when racing over obstacles in the spring for a profit of £44.45 to the usual £1 stake. MIDNIGHT GLANCE returned to form when runner-up at Huntingdon last time and can go one better today.
WETHERBY 4.21
SHOT BOII (system – sire Malinas, 2m4f+, good to soft or softer)
Progeny of the sire Malinas have a good record over jumps when given a trip of at least 2m4f on good to soft or slower going. They’re 73 from 410 under these conditions (17.8%) for a profit of £52.04. SHOT BOII disappointed at Lingfield last time but that run, on utterly desperate ground, came just 14 days after his Ffos Las handicap debut success. The five-week break will have freshened him up and he can bounce back.
WETHERBY 4.56
MALINAS ISLAND (system – sire Malinas, 2m4f+, good to soft or softer)
MALINAS ISLAND is a qualifier on the same angle as Shot Boii (see Wetherby 4.21) and has form figures over 2m4f+ on good to soft or softer going of 41212 (2-5), with the fourth place at 18-1 in this race 12 months ago. He was beaten at short odds at Plumpton last time but the winner got first run and he scored impressively over course and distance on his penultimate start.
