Professional horse racing tipster Andrew Mount takes a good look at today’s Spreadex markets to find the best value spread betting and fixed odds opportunities.
Spreadex offers both normal fixed odds betting plus spread betting on horse racing. There are some key differences between this form of gambling and placing regular fixed odds bets. Get the calls right and punters could win big, but the potential to lose money can be much higher. Intrigued? Then check out this how to spread bet on horse racing guide:

Andrew made a 12.75pt profit with his sell of DOUBLE DRAW OF WINNER in the 5.18 at Hamilton yesterday (market made up at 4) and has has two recommended bets/trades on Monday, May 9th. Andrew is taking a short break and will be back on Saturday (May 14th). Follow his tips on horse racing betting sites throughout the year.
WOLVERHAMPTON 4.10
MISTER FREEZE is bred to appreciate Wolverhampton’s Tapeta surface but seems to have been largely dismissed in the betting based on his two previous visits here which resulted in defeat. However, the first of those was a respectable 14-1 fourth in maiden company on his third career start (he duly won on his handicap debut next time) and the other was a 100-1 last of 13 over 8.6f in 2019, a trip he struggled to stay. Backing all progeny of Frozen Power on Wolverhampton’s Tapeta would have found 20 winners from 110 bets for a profit of £48.38 to a £1 level stake at SP. In Class 6 handicaps (today’s grade) their record is ten from 44 (+£68.00). He would have needed his latest outing when a 25-1 sixth of ten at Lingfield and I think he’s going to be hard to keep out of the frame today. Buy at 11 in the Spreadex 50-25-10 race market.
Recommendation: Back MISTER FREEZE in Wolverhampton 4.10
MUSSELBURGH 4.20
I’m not a huge fan of progeny of the sire The Last Lion, as they have a poor strike-rate on turf, landing just eight of their 191 starts (4.2%) for a loss of £151.07 to a £1 level stake at SP (the expected number of winners from this sample was 16.54). Over one mile or further they are 0-38 and I’m not convinced that RUM GOING ON should be such a short price (6-5 with Spreadex at the time of writing). He was one of those rare The Last Lion turf winners on his penultimate start, scoring here at Musselburgh, but that was over 7f and he was probably flattered by racing up with the pace in a steadily-run contest. He went close over the same trip at Wetherby last time but was strongly favoured by the draw/pace bias that day and simply looks the wrong price. Sell in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market. Fixed odds punters might want to consider ANTWASAPRETTYPENNY.
Recommendation: Oppose RUM GOING On in Musselburgh 4.20
