Professional horse racing tipster Andrew Mount takes a good look at today’s Spreadex markets to find the best value spread betting and fixed odds opportunities.
Spreadex offers both normal fixed odds betting plus spread betting on horse racing. There are some key differences between this form of gambling and placing regular fixed odds bets. Get the calls right and punters could win big, but the potential to lose money can be much higher. Intrigued? Then check out this how to spread bet on horse racing guide:

Andrew’s buy of WORCESTER SPs made a profit of 20.9pts on Thursday (market made up at 71.9) and he has three recommended bets/trades on Friday, May 6th. Follow his tips on horse racing betting sites throughout the year.
CHESTER 4.20
I’ve already bet SCAMPI in this 1m4f contest, as his trainer Andrew Balding has an incredible ten from 14 record in apprentice handicaps at Chester but he’s been well found in the overnight market and, at the current prices, I also want to side with Bernard Llewellyn’s ZAMBEZI MAGIC (he’s around 16-1 in the fixed odds market). Laura Pearson is a positive booking and this consistent five-year-old, though hard to win with, appreciate a big field/strong pace scenario and should be putting in good work at the finish. He just missed out on second place when running over the extended 1m2f here in September and hasn’t had many opportunities at today’s trip. Buy in the Spreadex 50-30-20-10 market or back him each-way.
Recommendation: Back ZAMBEZI MAGIC in Chester 4.20
SILVER SAMURAI – 5.10 Ascot
SILVER SAMURAI was too keen for his own good when eighth of ten to Boardman at Haydock last time but went without his usual hood which is back on here. The drop back to 6f also looks a good idea – his two runs at this trip have produced a win and a close second – and he’s worth another chance. Buy at 12 in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or back him each-way at 7-1.
Recommendation: Back SILVER SAMURAI in Ascot 5.10
CORK 7.00 – DOUBLE DRAW OF WINNER
There are to horses I want to oppose in this 7f Premier Handicap – CURRENT OPTION, who has a poor record before August 1st (one win from 14 starts, as opposed to five wins from 13 in the later months of the season) – and MASSAMAN, who looked flattered by his wide-margin Gowran Park win where well drawn and always on the front end on that pace-favouring track. Selling both in the Spreadex 50-30-20-10 market is one option, though both are drawn low (stalls 6 and 2 respectively) and a buy of ‘DOUBLE DRAW OF WINNER’ is the preferred angle.
Recommendation: Buy DOUBLE DRAW OF WINNER in Cork 7.00
