Professional racing tipster Andrew Mount takes a good look at today’s Spreadex markets to find the best value spread betting and fixed odds opportunities.
Spreadex offers both normal fixed odds betting plus spread betting on horse racing. There are some key differences between this form of gambling and placing regular fixed odds bets. Get the calls right and punters could win big, but the potential to lose money can be much higher. Intrigued? Then check out this how to spread bet on horse racing guide:

The action steps up a gear on Friday (July 22nd) and Andrew has two recommended bets/trades at Ascot and York. Follow his tips on horse racing betting sites throughout the year.
ASCOT 5.25
LOVE TROPHY POWER heads the market at around the 5-2 mark for this 5f handicap but has to carry a 6lb penalty for last week’s odds-on success at Yarmouth. Roger Varian hasn’t got the greatest record with his penalised runners, scoring with just two of the 26 qualifiers for a loss of £20.17 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners = 7.2). The filly lacks experience on stiff tracks and can be sold in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market. Fixed odds punters might want to side with last year’s winner HAVEAGOMECCA.
Recommendation: Oppose LOVE TROPHY POWER in Ascot 5.25
YORK 6.25
GOOD EARTH is on a hat-trick and beat 19 rivals over course and distance last time. However, there was a strong draw and pace bias that day, with the first three finishers racing prominently throughout from stalls 2, 3 and 1 of 20. Runner-up Jordan Electrics could only finish eighth on his next start and there’s a good chance that they were flattered. Selling him in the Spreadex 50-30-20-10 market is one angle, though I’d rather back AS IF BY CHANCE who was a four-length eighth to Good Earth last time out. Nigel Tinkler’s four-year-old wasn’t badly drawn in stall 7 that day but blew the start and could never get into contention. He fared third best of those ridden patiently and Muscika, tenth overall from stall 9 and fifth best of the hold-up horses, came out and won at Haydock next time. Buy in the 50-30-20-10 race market or back each-way in the fixed odds betting.
Recommendation: Back AS IF BY CHANCE in York 6.25
