Quavo Raps on Top of His Hometown Atlanta in New “Himothy” Music Video

Quavo Raps on Top of His Hometown Atlanta in New "Himothy" Music Video

About a week ago, Quavo released his latest track “Himothy,” the artist’s first track of the year.

The song follows his 2023 album Rocket Power, which featured posthumous rhymes from Takeoff as well as features from Future, Young Thug, Hunxho, BabyDrill and others. When talking about the album, he once shared, “Rocket Power means a lot to me, it means everything to me. Just being fueled by my brother, Take, and just bottling all these emotions, all the pain, all the hard times, all the times I cried, all the times I made music just to pull up, and try to play songs and he’s not there… In the studio, I got this plaque of Take, and his eyes is on the side. So every time I record, I look over and see his eyes just looking at me.”

For “Himothy,” Quavo returns to his city and towers over Atlanta to flim the visuals. Commandeering the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Quavo can be seen rapping the track. He can be heard singing, “In the same breath, I can show ’em how to scam American Express/ I’m tired of you talkin’ ’bout him, please, let my nephew rest/ Since ain’t nobody doin’ nothin’, sh*t, f**k it, all of ’em gettin’ pressed/ Shut it down, baby shut it down, Huncho, shut it down, it’s a mess.” Quavo appears to let it be known that he is done talking about his grief and is ready to move on. Watch the visuals above and check out the track below.
