Pusha T Scores First No. 1 Album With ‘It’s Almost Dry’

Pusha T Scores First No. 1 Album With ‘It’s Almost Dry’

Pusha T has earned his first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 albums chart with It’s Almost Dry, which was released on April 22. According to Billboard, the record moved 55,000 album-equivalent units in its first week, which included 9,000 physical album sales.

It’s Almost Dry is Pusha T’s third project to rank in the top 10 on the Billboard 200 chart, following 2018’s Daytona, which debuted at No. 3, and 2013’s My Name Is My Name, which peaked at No. 4. The 12-track record, which marks the rapper’s fourth studio album, features production from Pharrell Williams and Kanye West and boasts guest appearances from Ye, Kid Cudi, JAY-Z, Lil Uzi Vert, Don Toliver, Malice and Labrinth.

King Push recently unveiled a range of merchandise in support of the album, which included several pullover hoodies with oversized iconography and T-shirts mimicking similar designs, along with physical copies of the CD and signed versions.

Last week, Pusha T announced that he was “very confident” and “pushing” for the return of Clipse, his hip-hop duo with brother No Malice, during a SiriusXM interview. The potential forthcoming record would mark Clipse’s first release since 2009’s Til the Casket Drops, which featured Kanye West, Keri Hilson, Pharrell, Cam’ron, Ab-Liva and Yo Gotti.

“I’m pushing for a Clipse album,” he said. “I want it to happen. You know, it’s up to him, but I am very confident. I didn’t know we always could do one. I’m very confident we can do a Clipse album.”

In more music news, Future’s new album I Never Liked You is projected to earn the biggest debut of 2022 so far.
