Battle royale mobile game PUBG MOBILE continues its collaborative spree by teaming up with legendary football superstar Lionel Messi. The news follows a partnership with Squid Game‘s Jung Ho Yeon as the game further expands its content offerings. The seven-time winner of the Ballon d’Or makes his first appearance in the game as this year’s World Cup is set to begin.
As the world’s biggest football event begins, Lionel Messi’s partnership with PUBG MOBILE presents a collection of in-game outfits and limited-edition items. Speaking to the collaboration, Messi shared that “Video games have always been a huge part of my life. I find them incredibly helpful to relax and enjoy myself when I’m not training, and to connect with my teammates, friends, and family.” As one of football’s biggest names, Messi will allow fans around the world to show off their love for the game while on the battleground.
Lionel Messi lands in part of PUBG MOBILE‘s Version 2.3 Update set to launch this November. For those who have yet to try it out, PUBG MOBILE is available via the App Store and Google Play Store.
