Pristine Lexus LFA With Just 850 Miles Hits the Auction Block

Pristine Lexus LFA With Just 850 Miles Hits the Auction Block

It seems that the Lexus LFA might be the next “it” modern-classic supercar, as yet another example of this rare Japanese machine has landed on the auction site Bring a Trailer.

In recent months, the LFA has appeared and sold in various forms — from a $1.6M USD Nürburgring Package iteration to the $808,000 USD sale of this standard version. Like those that came before it, this LFA has very low milage, just 850 in fact.

With that in mind, it means the car’s naturally-aspirated 4.8-liter V10 has barely been run in, meaning the car’s 552 HP and 354 lb-ft of torque should be on tap as if it were brand new. All of this power is sent to the rear wheels via an Aisin six-speed single-clutch Automated Sequential Gearbox and a Torsen limited-slip differential, while sound comes out of the signature trio of pipes at the rear.

The Lexus LFA was a huge technological feat when it launched over 10 years ago, as its engine was developed in conjunction with Yamaha, resulting in it having titanium valves and connecting rods, forged pistons, individual throttle bodies, dry-sump lubrication, dual VVT-i variable valve timing, and a titanium muffler. Likewise, the undertray was made from carbon fiber, brakes came courtesy of Brembo, and the body was made from carbon fiber that was mated to a carbon-fiber-reinforced polymer chassis with aluminum front and rear subframes.

Now, this “Starfire Pearl” example is up for sale with Bring a Trailer, and is sitting at $600,000 USD as of writing with 11 days of bidding left. Take a closer look at the car above, and stay tuned to HYPEBEAST Car Club for more automotive content.

In other news, Bugatti has started to deliver the Chiron Super Sport.
