We’ve now had two weeks of Premier League Darts. Peter Wright took the honours in the first week, before Jonny Clayton beat Joe Cullen in Liverpool to take the second week’s title. Take a look below to see our predictions for the third round and tournament, plus find out where you can grab the best free bets, and much more.
Premier League Darts: Week two recap
The second night of Premier league Darts took place last week in Liverpool. Crowds were treated to some superb matches from the start, further emphasising why Premier League Darts is such a hit with fans.
The final was played between Jonny Clayton – runner-up in the first week’s action and defending champion – and Joe Cullen, both of whom came through tough semi-finals, against Michael van Gerwen and Gerwyn Price respectively.
In the end, Clayton came out as winner, taking the week two title with a closely fought 6-4 victory over Cullen. The win took him to the top of the table, with eight points from the first two weeks of action.
2022 Premier League Darts week three predictions
Jonny Clayton will go into the third week full of confidence, having reached both previous finals. However, his recent opponent, Joe Cullen, is the man to watch. He’s got a more than winnable opener against Michael van Gerwen, before a semi-final against Gerwyn Price or Michael Smith. Another final appearance is certainly a possibility.
However, he certainly won’t have everything his own way. Peter Wright will be looking to get back to form after his quarter-final loss, while Clayton undoubtedly remains dangerous. But it really is impossible to ignore Cullen, especially when his odds of 8/1 are taken into account.
If you’d like a somewhat safer bet, a wager on Peter Wright to win the tournament at 7/2 looks good. However, we can’t ignore Cullen’s form and the exceptional odds he’s been given at bet365.

Premier League Darts week three betting tips
For our second Premier League Darts week three tip, we’re going to go for a slightly safer bet.
We’re going to focus on the match-up between Gary Anderson and Peter Wright – a match-up we think Wright will win handsomely. After being thrashed in the quarter-finals last week, the Scotsman will want to come back strong, which is why he’s only got odds of 4/9 – not high enough to make a bet tempting.
Instead, we’ll look at the handicap market in this match. You’ll be able to get Wright at -1.5 for pretty decent odds of 4/5. That’s a decent bet, considering we think Wright is going to storm back into form when the players step up to the oche in Belfast.

How does Premier League Darts work?
Premier League Darts is a competition between eight of the top players in the sport and has a new format in 2022.
The eight players will take part in 16 mini-tournaments, as they try to reach the play-offs, which will decide the eventual winner of the 2022 competition. All matches during the competition, except those in the play-offs, will be best of 11 legs.
Each week will see four quarter-finals, the winners of which will advance to the semi-finals. The winners of the semi-finals will head to the final. The winner of the final receives five points and £10,000, while the loser in the final receives three points. The losing semi-finalists get two points each.
To make sure the competition is as fair as possible, each player will play every other player twice in quarter-finals. In addition to this, weeks eight and sixteen will see players face each other in a draw based on league position.
The top four players will head to the play-offs, which will take place in Berlin on 13th June. The play-offs will see two semi-finals and then a final. The semi-finals will be best of 19 legs, while the final will be best of 21 legs.
