After reviving the Modern Warfare franchise back in 2019, Call of Duty fans have since been anticipating a sequel, and now a potential reveal date has finally leaked for Activision‘s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
According to Call of Duty insider @TheGhostofHope over on Twitter, the studio will be revealing the new game on May 30, although his tweet simply included the date and a GIF of Captain Price in the dark woods with his night-vision goggles on without elaborating further on where he came across that date, what exactly the game will look like and when it’ll ultimately be released.
Despite the lack of more context, the new leak corroborates prior suggestions from fellow insider Tom Henderson, who claimed at the end of April that the reveal would come at the end of May, which he said was “still five weeks away.” The dates would match up for a potential May 30 announcement.
As usual, Activision has yet to officially announce anything itself, so fans of the franchise should stay tuned for more updates to come.
