The event will likely be a highly jubilant affair, given that it follows the release of Robinson’s long-awaited, hyper-anticipated sophomore album. Nurture is the follow-up to 2014’s Worlds, which established Robinson as a pioneer of a fresh, smart and innovative style of electronic music, and earned him a hardcore global fanbase.
Equally innovative will be the way attendees can experience Secret Sky, with Robinson himself designing and building a custom, digital, VR-optimized festival grounds “inspired,” according to a press release, “by massive online multiplayer experiences and Porter’s favorite indie art games.”
If you’re not into VR, the free show will also stream on YouTube, Twitch, Oculus VR, Android TV, PlayStation and via Diplo’s Revolution on SiriusXM. Robinson is encouraging fans to donate to the MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund via YouTube and Twitch. Postmates will also be hosting a “virtual delivery booth” where fans can use the code SECRETSKY for free delivery on, the press releases encourages, food from “their favorite local restaurant.”
