Porsche has announced the completion of its Cayenne lineup with the introduction of two new GTS models, marking a significant enhancement to the series which saw a comprehensive revision last year.
The new Cayenne GTS and GTS Coupé models boast a robust 4L twin-turbo V8 engine, delivering a capable 500 hp. This marks a 40 horsepower increase over their predecessors. The enhanced engine, along with a revised eight-speed Tiptronic S transmission, promises sharper response and shift times, particularly in Sport and Sport Plus modes.
Designed to blend high performance and everyday utility, these models cater to drivers seeking an extra dose of dynamism and long-distance comfort — true to the Gran Turismo Sport ethos that GTS models embody. The GTS models lean towards a more pronounced on-road capability while maintaining the versatile character of an all-terrain SUV.
In terms of chassis technology, the GTS models feature innovations adopted from the high-performance Cayenne Turbo GT, including a GTS-specific chassis with a lower ride height. The inclusion of adaptive air suspension comes standard, along with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus), ensuring a dynamic driving experience without compromising comfort. Additionally, these models are equipped with a two-valve damper technology that enhances responsiveness and a front axle setup that increases the negative camber, leading to notably improved cornering agility.
The GTS models are also distinguished by unique design elements like larger cooling air intakes, dark-tinted headlights and red brake calipers. Both models’ sporty aesthetic is completed with High-Gloss Black treatments on the body attachments and dark bronze-toned tailpipes. They ride on 21-inch RS Spyder-design wheels finished in anthracite grey.
Inside, the Cayenne GTS models offer a luxury experience with Race-Tex covered surfaces, a heated GT sports steering wheel and eight-way adjustable sports seats designed to provide exceptional support during dynamic driving. The models also feature the latest Porsche Driver Experience, which includes a curved digital instrument cluster and can be further customized with interior packages in Carmine Red or Slate Grey Neo.
Both the Cayenne GTS and GTS Coupé are now available for order, with deliveries set to begin in Europe this summer.
