Porsche Unveils Three Revamped Variants of the Taycan

Porsche continues its expansion into the EV market, this time with three revamped variations of the Taycan, each featuring across-the-board enhancements, including increased power, extended range, faster acceleration and more rapid charging capabilities.

The 2024 Taycan has undergone a comprehensive makeover that touches on areas like performance, design and technology. Performance-wise, the Taycan now accelerates quicker, with the Taycan and Taycan Turbo S models hitting 60 mph from a standstill in just 4.8 and 2.4 seconds, respectively. This improvement is thanks to a boost in system output, with the base Taycan getting a 60 kW increase and the Taycan Turbo S benefitting from an additional 140 kW with Launch Control. Additionally, a new push-to-pass function introduces a temporary power boost of up to 70 kW, enhancing the driving dynamics even further.

Range and efficiency have seen significant improvements as well, with the Taycan’s WLTP range now reaching up to 421 miles, a substantial 35 percent increase over its predecessor. Charging is faster and more efficient, thanks to the ability to charge at up to 320 kW at 800-volt DC charging stations, cutting down charging times dramatically. A newly designed performance battery supports this, boasting a gross capacity of 105 kWh.

As for design, the new Taycan has been refined with sharper lines and new front and rear styling, including high-resolution HD matrix technology headlights that display Porsche’s signature four-point graphics. The Turbo models stand out with the exclusive Turbonite accent color, differentiating them further from the rest of the lineup.

Technological advancements are evident in the latest generation of the Porsche Driver Experience, which features an improved display and control concept. The Taycan now comes with more extensive standard equipment, including adaptive air suspension, enhanced ambient lighting and a comprehensive suite of driving assistance systems.

This extensive update applies to all three body variants of the Taycan, each of which is available with four powertrain options and rear- or all-wheel drive.

Set to arrive at Porsche Centres in the spring of 2024, the updated Taycan models are designed to offer an unmatched combination of performance, efficiency and luxury.
