Unexpectedly, Pixar is now working with Style Porsche, Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur on a one-off Porsche 911 Carrera. Led by Cars Creative Director Jay Ward and Production Designer Bob Pauley, the special edition is inspired by the character Sally Carrera, who is based around a 2002 Porsche 911 Carrera.
Currently in its early stages, the one-off will feature Sally’s signature light metallic blue paint job for a faithful tonal look. Custom wheels will also be made to replicate the look of Sally’s “Turbo Twist” wheels and badging will express vintage Carrera motifs and Sally’s pinstripe tattoo. While the interior will come complete with blue accents, special logos and custom door sill plates. Additionally, Ward and Pauley noted in their sketches that the 911 will feature a manual transmission and no sunroof.
Set to be auctioned off by RM Sotheby with proceeds going to charity, the car is also expected to come complete with a matching Porsche Design watch and potentially special luggage and art books.
