PinkPantheress has been on the up and up since her debut mixtape in 2021. The British singer/record producer has collaborated with the likes of Ice Spice, Kelela and more, she released her debut album Heaven Knows last year and she’s currently on her Capable of Love Tour. Now, the artist is digging back into her early works by dropping the unreleased music video for “Reason.”
The contemplative dream pop track is off of PinkPantheress debut mixtape To Hell with It and is one of the artist’s favorites. Previously, the track only had a released visualizer that depicted a looped visual of PinkPantheress in the forest, but now as a special treat for her birthday, which just passed on April 18, the artist decided to drop the full-length music video from her archive.
The visual sees PinkPantheress alongside a couple in a foggy forest. While the British artist sings her track, the couple runs throughout the forest from what is assumed to be danger. “I wrote this letter to remind myself the reasons I’m alive/I got to reason number five/With my pen, I wrote on and I tried/To find words that described all the times,” PinkPantheress sings in the first verse.
The British artist/record producer is no stranger to unexpected releases as she has a history of teasing tunes, which may or may not later appear. So the surprise music video release fits right in.
