Phoebe Bridgers celebrated the premiere of her SiriusXM radio show, Saddest Factory Radio, with a haunting cover of Billie Eilish‘s “when the party’s over.”
Accompanied by a solemn piano and supported by additional vocals, the Punisher artist shared an equally sorrowful take on the 2018 hit, maintaining Eilish’s original musical vision. “when the party’s over” appeared on Eilish’s 2019 debut studio album WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?, which went on to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and win the GRAMMYs for Album of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical, while “bad guy” took home Record of the Year and Song of the Year.
