Weeks after sharing the single “Pensacola,” Jade Lilitri has surprise released a brand new Oso Oso album: Sore Thumb is out now via Triple Crown. Listen to the follow-up to 2019’s Basking in the Glow below.
Lilitri recorded Sore Thumb over the course of one month with his late cousin Tavish Maloney at Billy Mannino’s Two Worlds Recording Studio in Queens, New York. (Mannino engineered, mixed, and produced Oso Oso’s The Yunahon Mixtape.) Maloney died less than a month after the recording, and Lilitri chose to keep the songs mostly intact, other than getting the album mixed by Mike Sapone.
“The making of this record is a now a memory of a time that I hold closer to my heart than anything,” Lilitri said in a press release. “Regardless of how I feel about these songs in the years to come, I am so happy this exists. Thanks for listening. Be decent.”
