ONE OK ROCK Drops New Single and Music Video “Delusion:All”

ONE OK ROCK Drops New Single and Music Video "Delusion:All"

ONE OK ROCK is going back to its heavy rock roots with their latest single, “Delusion:All.”

The namesake track lures listeners in gradually with a trembling piano riff in a slightly reverbed and faded effect. As the drums are cued in, the angsty mood is immediately flipped into a powerful uproar led by the bass and guitar. After a swift, first few bars of instrumentals, Taka’s assertive vocals join the ensemble, “They’ll conquer us if we divide/No one will listen to you/ We gotta stand up and draw a line/It’s time to fall back or shoot.

Suddenly, it’s back to just the piano and drums as the last line of verse is sung — creating a brief moment that prepares ears with anticipation for the chorus. “Why does it feel like they don’t feel anything?”  I pray there’s a future behind those walls (But maybe I’m delusional),” Taka’s powerful melodic cries ring in.

From lyrics to the music video, the band remains consistent with their themes and uplifting messages that resonate with a global audience. Intense, hard-hitting and euphonious, “Delusion:All” is an encapsulation of what fans would consider a very-ONE-OK-ROCK-sound, but it’s more than that. From production to sound quality, the new song is considerably more refined than their past discography and also a strong rock comeback following their experimental releases in recent years.

“Delusion:All” also serves as the theme song for Kingdom: Return of the Great General, the fourth live-action movie for Yasuhisa Hara’s historical manga series, which also hits theaters in Japan today.

Check out the music video above, “Delusion:All” is now available to stream on Spotify and Apple Music.
