Omar Apollo has announced his 2022 “The Prototype Tour.” Set to feature Ravyn Lanae, the tour is in support of Apollo’s first studio album, Ivory, which was released in April of this year.
Apollo’s “The Prototype Tour” is set to include 22 shows across North America. The tour is set to commence on October 21 in San Diego and wrap up on November 29 in Toronto. Alongside the announcement of the tour, the Indiana-born musician has released a new track titled “Highlight.” With a smooth sound, the track discusses feelings of love.
“You are not a stranger/It’s been a minute since I felt commitment, hmm-mm/The way you touch my body/Feels like there’s no parallels around me, oh/I don’t wanna leave no more/I just wanna stay involved/My best friend, you’re still mine/You see our love don’t end/It lasted time, why, why, why,” sings Apollo. “Highlight” appears on the deluxe version of Apollo’s album Ivory(Marfil), which releases on Friday, August 12.
The presale for the tour begins on Wednesday, August 10 and the general sale begins Friday, August 12.
