Olivia Rodrigo has revealed her anticipated second studio album, GUTS. Listen to the project below via Apple Music or Spotify.
Featuring singles “vampire” (which we named Song of the Week) and “bad idea right?”, GUTS was produced by Daniel Nigro, the boardsman who also helmed Rodrigo’s 2021 smash debut SOUR.
Rodrigo blew up by delivering emphatic anthems all about teen angst — from watching your first love move onto someone new to simply existing in that weird phase of life where you’re gaining more autonomy, but also can’t even parallel park. From what she’s shared about GUTS, you can expect her second album to do more of the same.

“For me, this album is about growing pains and trying to figure out who I am at this point in my life,” the artist said. “I feel like I grew 10 years between the ages of 18 and 20 — it was such an intense period of awkwardness and change. I think that’s all just a natural part of growth, and hopefully the album reflects that.”
As for its instrumentation, Rodrigo has cited rock stars like Jack White, Kathleen Hanna, and St. Vincent as influences, so you can likely expect some guitar spunk to coincide with the piano balladry she exhibited on “vampire.” Check out GUTS below.
