Are you someone that likes to live an active lifestyle?
If so, it turns out living that lifestyle is easier to achieve in some places than others, according to a new report from WalletHub. Fortunately for those in Ohio, one of the 10 best U.S. cities for living an active lifestyle is located here in the Buckeye State.
Cincinnati, Ohio, is the sixth-best U.S. city for living an active lifestyle, according to a report from WalletHub. The report, “Best & Worst Cities for an Active Lifestyle,” compared the 100 most populated U.S. cities across two categories: Sports and outdoors, including basketball hoops, soccer fields, fitness centers, swimming pools, hiking trails and playgrounds per capita; and budget and participation, including average monthly fitness club fees, share of physically inactive adults, intramural leagues per capita, and more.
By category, Cincinnati ranked third among U.S. cities in budget and participation, behind only Atlanta and top-ranking Las Vegas, and ninth in sports and outdoors.
Behind Cincinnati at No. 6, the next best-ranking Ohio city for an active lifestyle was Cleveland at No. 48, followed by Columbus at No. 55 and Toledo at No. 75.

By individual metric, Cleveland and Cincinnati tied for first in having the most swimming pools per capita, also tied with Philadelphia, Chicago, and Atlanta. In addition, Cleveland ranked as having the third-lowest monthly fitness club fees among U.S. cities, behind only Mesa, Arizona, and Glendale, Arizona.
