The teaser prompted overjoyed reactions in the comments from numerous all-star rappers, including Snoop Dogg, Chance the Rapper and Rich the Kid.
“LESSGOOOO,” Chance commented. “Time to go crazy,” Offset replied.
Offset’s Culture III post arrived amid the highly publicized breakup between Migos’ Quavo and Saweetie. On Friday, the “Icy Girl” rapper tweeted that she was single, saying she’s suffered “too much betrayal and hurt behind the scenes.” Hours later, Quavo took to Twitter to express his discomfort with airing out dirty laundry from their relationship of nearly two years.
After churning out Culture and Culture II in 2017 and 2018, respectively, Migos temporarily went on hiatus to test the waters on solo careers. In 2018, Quavo dropped his solo debut album, Quavo Huncho, while Takeoff followed up with The Last Rocket. Offset released his first solo effort, Father of 4, the following year.
In March 2020, Quavo told Billboard that Migos was practicing social distancing by simplifying their movements, only going to the studio to work on Culture III and then back home.
A year earlier, during an interview before the 2019 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, Offset told Billboard, “Culture III on the way, you know what I’m saying? We whipping it and getting it together.”
An official release date for Culture III had not been announced at press time.
