Offset took to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon stage on Tuesday to perform a four-minute medley of his newly-released tracks, “Code” and “54321.”
In the foreground of a color-heavy, graphic backdrop, the Atlanta rapper appeared wearing a red sweater vest alongside two futuristic dancers to deliver the dual-track sequence. The former single, which features Moneybagg Yo, arrived on August 26, and the latter cut, which was produced by Baby Keem, hit streaming platforms on August 19.
While appearing on the late-night show, Offset sat down with Fallon to discuss his role in the upcoming second season of HBO Max‘s competition series The Hype, Cardi B and his son Wave Set Cephus’ car-themed first birthday party and his eldest son Jordan Cephus’ affinity for music-making.
“We was in the house and I went downstairs, and he was on the computer and I heard, like, a beat being made,” Offset told Fallon. “So I look, and he making a beat. And I’m just listening, so I record him. And I posted it. And everybody was like, ‘Oh, it’s hard, it’s hard.’”
After disclosing that he had “no clue” that his 12-year-old son had started crafting his own beats, Offset teased a potential collaboration with Jordan on his forthcoming record. “I’m just trying to let him get nice and seasoned and then I’m probably gon’ do something with him for the album,” the rapper confirmed.
