Oasis Officially Announces Reunion Tour

Oasis fans can rejoice. British rock group Oasis, led by brothers Liam and Noah Gallagher, have officially taken to social media to announce their return with a reunion tour as an icing on top of the cake.

The 1990s Britpop band first split in 2009 after brothers publicly stated that they could no longer stand working together. Noel said in an interview at the time, ” simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer.” The brothers have publicly insulted one another in the past, but now it seems that they have set the feud aside.

Coinciding with its 30th anniversary of their debut album Definitely Maybe, which Levi’s has already geared up to celebrate with a collaboration, the band’s comeback tour is set for summer 2025, taking them throughout Britain and Ireland. The tour has been announced on their social media as well as on its website, initially teasing that an announcement would be made with a cryptic message of a time stamp for August 8, 2024 at 8 a.m. BST. The announcement included a reel that looked back at the band’s biggest performances, with a caption that read, “‘This is it, this is happening.’” They also announced that ticket sales will begin on August 31 at 8 a.m. IST and 9 a.m. BST, while also confirming performance dates that see the band hit Cardiff first on July 4 and 5 next year. At the moment, the tour ends on August 17 in Dublin. In a statement, the band states that plans are underway and “other continents outside of Europe later next year.” The statement also added, “The great wait is over. Come see.”

Oasis has had anthemic hits that included “Wonderwall,” “Live Forever” and “Champagne Supernova.” Tickets go on sale on August 31 online.
