After returning to the stage after an almost-three-year hiatus this Summer, Aphex Twin recently performed his headline set at London’s Field Day Festival on August 19, providing an all-out assault on the senses.
Now, a 360-degree video from his entire set has been shared online, with Richard James using photos of Charlie XCX, the late pop producer SOPHIE, Dua Lipa, Stormzy, and others with his face superimposed on them as visuals for part of the show.
Additionally, Aphex Twin returned to Field Day this year alongside a star-studded line-up that included the likes of Bonobo, Arca, Kelela, Fever Ray, Jayda G, Jon Hopkins, Sudan Archives, Mount Kimbie, and more.
For Aphex, the legendary British producer treated fans to a 90-minute set of experimental electronica, partnered with a slew of trippy and playful synths and beats. The pro footage of the entire show — filmed in 360° — was shared by London-based radio station NTS recently, and can be seen in its entirety above.
