Following the release of Matt Reeves‘ The Batman, the streaming of Nirvana‘s “Something In The Way” on Spotify increased by 1,200%. Released back in 1991 and featured on the iconic grunge rock band’s second studio album, Nevermind, a grand take on the track was heavily featured in trailers and in the recently released movie. Fans quickly resonated with the gloomy theme and how it captured the atmosphere of the film, taking to the music streaming platform to enjoy the original.
It is interesting to note that “Something In The Way” was also chosen to draw parallels to Robert Pattinson‘s take on the Caped Crusader. Developing a relationship between the Bruce Wayne/Batman character seen on screen and the late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain. Director Matt Reeves even noted that he listened to “Something In The Way” extensively while writing the first act of The Batman.
