During Nintendo’s recent Nintendo Direct event, the gaming company announced an update to its beloved Chrono Cross game series, titling it The Radical Dreamers Edition.
As a sequel to Chrono Trigger, the revamped 1-player role-playing game will allow you to switch between the old and new 3D models and illustrations, switch enemy encounters on or off, filter backgrounds and change screen resolution. In addition, players will be able to launch the 1996 “Radical Dreamers” prototype – as a standalone game – inside this new edition.
The basis of the game centers on a three-person band of thieves known as the Radical Dreamers – Magil, Kid and Serge – whose story unfolds over two parallel worlds.
Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition will become available for Nintendo Switch on April 7, and will retail for $19.99 USD.
In other gaming news, ‘Mario Strikers: Battle League’ is arriving on Nintendo Switch.
