King Krule and Sampha have each remixed Nilüfer Yanya’s “Midnight Sun” for Painless (Deluxe Edition), an expanded version of the album she released this past March. Listen to both remixes below. The tracks follow Yanya’s September cover of PJ Harvey’s “Rid of Me,” which also appears on the album revamp.
Three reimagined versions of Painless songs, which Yanya made with the producer Will Archer, make up the new record’s tracklist. Those tracks are “Shameless,” “Midnight Sun,” and “Chase Me,” and the new titles are appended with “(Reflects).” The whole thing is out December 14 via ATO.
In a press release, Yanya said, “Painless is going deluxe! I’m honestly so glad so many of you listened to Painless when it first came out 9 months ago so I’m very happy to be able to offer you the deluxe version.”
