Nicki Minaj Delivers “Super Freaky Girl (Queen Mix)” With JT, BIA and More

After tapping her alter-ego Roman for a remix of the popular cut last month, Nicki Minaj‘s “Super Freaky Girl” has received an all-new “Queen Mix” with an empowered female entourage: JT, BIA, Katie Got Bandz, Akbar V and Maliibu Miitch.

After the refreshed track officially arrived on Minaj’s Queen Radio, the aforementioned artists imminently took to social media to express their excitement about the massive collaboration.

“Haven’t felt like this since ‘in my feelings’ in 2018 before prison, I got out & never got my WOW moment, it became depressing,” JT tweeted. “I thought I would never feel excited & motivated again! This feels so good I’m so happy & I Deserve this.”

“Somebody pull up that tweet when I said I wanted to work with @NICKIMINAJ and they laughed at me,” Akbar V wrote. “See if you believe and have faith size as a mustard seed.” Bia also chimed in, writing, “GOD DID!!!! NICKI DID!!!!”

In the first week following its debut, the original “Super Freaky Girl” accumulated a total of 21.1 million streams, 4.6 million radio airplay audience impressions and 89,000 downloads sold, earning it the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100. The single marks Minaj’s first-ever solo No. 1 hit and her third overall, following 2020’s “Trollz” with 6ix9ine and Doja Cat’s “Say So.”

Last week, the trailblazing rapper dropped the official music video for the flagship single. The visual, directed by Joseph Kahn, follows Minaj as she cosplays as Rick James, whose 1981 hit “Super Freak” is sampled on the track, and later as a killer Nicki Barbie — fully committed to her character with a robotic pet dog, a head-to-toe pink look and her very own Ken, played by Alexander Ludwig.

Elsewhere in music, Lil Uzi Vert has hopped on Yeat’s new track, “Flawlëss.”
