A music festival claiming to feature big headliners like Beyoncé, Frank Ocean, Nicki Minaj, Tyler, the Creator and Megan Thee Stallion has been called a “lie” by the Queen rapper, while representatives of artists labelled the event fake.
Minaj confirmed on Twitter that she is not involved in the event that goes by the name “Smellow Festival,” replying to a fan “One LIE after the NEXT” after the Barb shared a Deuxmoi entry regarding the festival. Reps for Tyler, the Creator also confirmed to HYPEBEAST that the event is not legitimate.
“Smellow Festival” is supposedly sponsored by JAY-Z‘s Roc Nation and also names performers such as SZA, Kodak Black, Lil Baby, Jaden Smith and more. The event’s website claims that the festival “will provide a thoughtfully-curated, stage music event from huge artist. The festival offers an opportunity for us to give back to the LGBTQ+ Community,” and that it will take place in “one of the most beautiful and historic locations, LA’s largest city park with over 300 acres of public greenspace.”
