Nicki Minaj will be following up her fifth studio album Pink Friday 2 with a deluxe LP. Released in December 2023, the project marked Minaj’s first full-length effort in five years.
It also served as a sequel to Minaj’s 2010 debut album Pink Friday, a breakthrough for the then-rising rapper, complete with features from Eminem, Rihanna, Drake, will.i.am, Ye and Natasha Bedingfield.

The recent sequel LP, meanwhile, relied heavily on samples. “Barbie Dangerous” interpolates Notorious B.I.G.’s “Notorious Thugs,” while “Pink Friday Girls” samples Cyndi Lauper’s “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” and “Super Freaky Girl” samples Rick James’ “Super Freak.”
In her announcement of the forthcoming deluxe version, Minaj didn’t share a release date but thanked her fans for inspiring her and noted that she’d be performing two or three songs from the expanded album on tour.
