Nick Doyle and Case Studyo Present ‘RELIC’

Nick Doyle is an artist whose work comments on how American identity is entwined with consumerism. Typically using denim as his choice material, Doyle depicts mundane items, such as a Barbasol shaving can or a vending machine, in an effort to reflect how these symbols have become icons in itself.

For his latest collaboration, the American artist has worked with Belgium’s Case Studyo on a handwoven rug, titled RELIC. Doyle visits a fictional Greek fastfood container that has been stomped away on the street. The artifact or relic reflects what the artist believes is an incessant cycle of pride and shame that is at the core of consumer culture.

As an edition of 25, plus five artist proofs, RELIC is the first time Doyle has worked with this medium and sizes at 41.73-inches wide by 62.99-inches tall. Please visit Case Studyo’s website to purchase.
