Eurovision 2024 may have come to a conclusion, but the music will always continue. A number of Eurovision artists are thankfully still producing new music for us to enjoy.

Contrary to the commonly perpetuated myth about the song contest killing careers, we’re always thrilled to report that singers associated with Eurovision are thriving.

Here is our latest weekly roundup with a selection of the songs released recently by Eurovision stars.

New music from Eurovision artists: 2024 | Week 19 part 2

With so many new songs this week, we’ve split the roundup into two smaller articles. You can find part 1 here.

Nutsa – “Mother’s Love”

We begin the second part of this week with Nutsa, the proud representative of Georgia this year, who managed to bring her country back to the Grand Final after 7 years of non-qualifications, delivering an outstanding show the night before. Her new track is a tribute to mothers, especially her own. The touching ballad, combined with Nutsa’s sweet voice, makes the melody as sweet as honey. The lyrics speak about a mother’s love, which is unique, and how a mother can feel everything her child feels, even from afar: “Cause when my heart was breaking/ I knew your heart was aching/ Thousand miles away/ You could hear my heartbeat/ Knew just how I was feeling/ Always knew just what to say.

Manizha – “Candlelight”

Manizha competed in Eurovision back in 2021. Her newest song is the first taste we get from her upcoming album called Hope. The song itself revolves around the theme of hope and maintaining a light within your heart, anticipating better days ahead: “Hope is like candlelight/ As long as you’re still alive/ No one can take this light away.” Accompanied by a music video, Manizha’s emotive eyes captivate viewers. The song features a gentle instrumental that accentuates her commanding voice and the profound lyrics even further. Regarding her song, Manizha said:

I’m just singing you a song from beginning to end. Let these 3 minutes be a time for you to be yourself.

Fabrizio Moro – “Maledetta Estate”

Fabrizio Moro delivered a powerful performance for Italy, alongside Ermal Meta, back in 2018. With Ermal releasing an album the previous week, it was now Fabrizio’s turn to unveil something new. He has introduced a new acoustic song with Latino influences titled “Damn Summer.” The song narrates a love story that bloomed and faded away just like the passing of summer, a fleeting romance that resurfaces with each return of the season: “Damn summer that makes me think of you/ Damn love that I experienced and now is gone/ Damn summer, you’ve come and gone.” Fabrizio eagerly anticipates the revival of his summer romance.
