In an expansion of its GT lineup, Mercedes-AMG has unveiled the new GT 43 Coupé, designed to blend elegance and performance. This addition boasts a small yet powerful 2.0L turbo engine, with an output of 310 kW (421 hp) and incorporates cutting-edge technology derived from Formula 1, for a responsive and dynamic driving experience.
The GT 43 Coupé stands out with its rear-wheel drive and optimal weight distribution, promising agility and driving pleasure. The incorporation of an electric exhaust gas turbocharger, enhanced by a 48-volt onboard electrical system, delivers instant response across all speed ranges, complemented by a mild hybrid system for improved efficiency and smooth operation.
Despite having half the engine of its GT 55 predecessor, the GT 43 is capable of a 0-60 mph sprint in just under 4.6 seconds and top speeds of 173 mph. The vehicle features refined exterior styling, with advanced aerodynamic elements like the AIRPANEL air control system and an extendable rear spoiler for optimized performance.
Equipped with the AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 9G transmission and innovative lightweight construction measures, the GT 43 demonstrates exceptional handling and stability. The option of adaptive damping with AMG RIDE CONTROL, as well as rear-axle steering, provides an even more tailored driving experience, adaptable to any condition.
Inside, the GT 43 Coupé presents a “hyper-analog” cockpit with an 11.9-inch multimedia touchscreen, offering a seamless blend of digital and analog elements focused on the driver. Standard comfort seats in Nappa leather, with the option for performance seats, ensure a luxurious journey, while extensive customization options allow for a personal touch.
