Marvel revealed a new trailer for Eternals on Sunday, providing deeper insight into the Marvel Cinematic Universe‘s first LGBTQ+ family, led by Brian Tyree Henry’s Phastos.
While a new threat called “The Emergence” takes place, the new trailer shows Sersi and Ikaris’ reunion with Phastos, during which they meet his husband and son for the first time. Phastos’ husband is currently unnamed, though he is said to be an architect and played by actor Haaz Sleiman.
Additionally, the new footage features Don Lee’s Gilgamesh showcasing his powers in a fight against a Deviant — one of several creatures that the Eternals must protect humanity from.
Directed by Nomadland‘s Oscar-winning filmmaker Chloé Zhao, Eternals centers on a circle of immortal characters who must fend off such treats as Thanos (Josh Brolin) in Avengers: Infinity War after living quietly among humans for the past 7,000 years. In addition to directing, Zhao also receives two credits for her role in the script’s development.
Alongside Henry and Lee, the movie’s main characters include Gemma Chan as Sersi, Richard Madden as Ikaris, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, Lia McHugh as Sprite, Lauren Ridloff as Makkari, Barry Keoghan as Druig, Salma Hayek as Ajak and Angelina Jolie as Thena.
Eternals will land in theaters on November 5. Watch the latest visual above.
