The second official trailer for Dune: Part Two has arrived, offering a closer look at what to expect on the harsh desert planet of Arrakis in the forthcoming sequel. Chronicling the next chapter in Frank Herbert’s novel of the same name, the Denis Villeneuve-directed pic will center on Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet), as he seeks revenge against the Emperor (Christopher Walken) alongside Chani (Zendaya) and the Fremen.
Aside from Chalamet, Walken and Zendaya, Dune: Part 2 stars Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Austin Butler, Florence Pugh, Dave Bautista, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Léa Seydoux, Stellan Skarsgård, Charlotte Rampling, and Javier Bardem.
According to an official description, Dune: Part Two will explore “the mythic journey of Paul Atreides as he unites with Chani and the Fremen while on a warpath of revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. Facing a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he endeavors to prevent a terrible future only he can foresee.”
Production for Dune: Part 2 began in July of last year at various locations in Budapest, Abu Dhabi, Jordan and Italy, before wrapping in December. Notably, Villeneuve directed the movie based on a screenplay he co-wrote with Jon Spaihts.
Dune: Part Two will premiere in theaters on November 3. Watch the second official trailer above.
