A selection of “unreleased diss tracks” supposedly from Drake and Kendrick Lamar have been confirmed fake by sources.
“Hi Whitney,” the track that mimics Drizzy’s voice and is named after K-Dot’s fianceé, was revealed to be A.I.-generated by DJ Akademiks. He explained on his livestream that Drake himself clarified this, “I guess when I was playing that ‘Hi Whitney’ sh*t, he said that’s A.I. He said 100% A.I.” Meanwhile, the song that purportedly comes from Lamar was also stamped as a fake by his affiliate, Daylyt. “Ps that’s 10000% ai,” he wrote on X.
As of writing, audiences are waiting on Lamar to hit back at Drake after the latter’s “Push Ups (Drop & Give Me 50)” diss track hit the internet over the weekend. Hypebeast asked listeners if The Boy should be crowned the winner of this round, but it remains to be seen whether we will get a response from the pgLang founder.
