The second trailer for the upcoming Bob Marley: One Love biopic is here, exploring the late artist’s personal conflicts as he deals with being the voice of a revolution.
Clocking in at almost three minutes, the new trailer highlights how Marley, portrayed by Kingsley Ben-Adir, tries to shield his family from the attacks targetting him while still ensuring that his messages of peace are broadcasted to the world. “There’s a war going on,” he can be seen saying to his wife Rita, played by Lashana Lynch. “How I can bring peace? I can’t even get peace for myself.”
One Love is helmed by Reinaldo Marcus Green and follows Marley’s career, covering his ascent to fame up until his death in May 1981. Joining Ben-Adir and Lynch in the cast are James Norton, Jesse Cilio, Michael Gandolfini, Nadine Marshall and Anthony Welsh. Marley’s family — his wife Rita, son Ziggy and daughter Cedella produced the film.
