Greta Gerwig‘s Barbie finally hit theaters last night, accompanied by a Mark Ronson-produced soundtrack entitled, Barbie The Album. While the bright pink blockbuster welcomed viewers into Barbie World for nearly two hours, Barbie The Album has landed on streamers – meaning fans can remain immersed in the dazzling dreamworld indefinitely.
Ronson brings together a wide range of artists from all sectors of the music industry to perfectly encapsulate the aura of Barbie World, including Khalid, The Kid LAROI, Lizzo and HAIM. A few tracks from the star-studded soundtrack saw earlier releases, such as PinkPantheress‘ “Angel”, Billie Eilish‘s introspective cut “What Was I Made For?”, OG Barb Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice‘s take on “Barbie World” and Dua Lipa‘s “Dance The Night” which led the soundtrack’s release rollout.
Ryan Gosling – the Ken to Margot Robbie‘s Barbie – even shows off his vocal chops on “I’m Just Ken.” Gosling camp-ily croons “‘Cause I’m just Ken / Anywhere else I’d be a ten / Is it my destiny to live and die a life of blonde fragility?” Check out the tracklist in full below.
