Just as Netflix‘s Ultraman anime returns to the platform for its second season, the beloved franchise has now confirmed a third and final season. Announced via a teaser trailer for the CG anime, Tsuburaya Productions and Netflix reveal that Ultraman will finally be drawing to a close with a third season that’s due to be released next year, although no precise date or window has been confirmed just yet.
The short clip depicts the show’s main protagonist Shinjiro struggling and defeated on the ground, his armor heavily damaged while the series’ narrator Koji Ishizaka calls out “Ultraman, stand up!” and “There is one more response from Ultraman,” hinting at a colossal battle that’ll form one of the character’s biggest challenges in the show so far. Other details regarding the final season remain scarce at the moment, but there’s no doubt it’ll follow from season two, which has just debuted earlier last week on Netflix.
For fans of the series, the final season of Ultraman will arrive sometime in 2023.
