A new trailer for Netflix and Bandai Namco’s anime sequel Tiger & Bunny 2 showcased new superheroes being added to the iconic series. Making its debut in 2011, the show takes place in a futuristic city where heroes are sponsored by corporations and their good deeds are broadcast for the public to watch on a popular cable television network.
The sequel is set after the events of the spin-off film, Tiger & Bunny: The Movie – The Rising, with the film’s main cast returning. Opening with the Unison Square Garden single “Kaleido Proud Fiesta,” the series’ trailer showed three new superheroes joining the voice cast: Nobunaga Shimazaki as Thomas Taurus, Shōya Chiba as Mr. Black and Tomori Kusunoki as Magical Cat.
Tiger & Bunny is also receiving a manga adaptation, according to Anime News Network. Tiger & Bunny 2: The Comic will debut on April 15.
Meanwhile, fans can watch the first 13 episodes of Tiger & Bunny 2 on Netflix on April 8. The streamer plans to create 25 episodes of the anime in total.
In other entertainment news, Sonic and Tails face off against Doctor Eggman in the final trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog 2.
