Stranger Things 4 has officially surpassed 1 billion hours viewed. Netflix reported the news in its Top 10 roundup for the week of June 27, where it ranks the most popular shows within the first 28 days of their debut. Stranger Things 4 made it into the Top 10 in 93 different countries.
Clocking in at 1.15 billion hours, Stranger Things 4 holds the top spot as the most-watched English-language TV show, beating out new seasons of The Umbrella Academy, Peaky Blinders, Man Vs. Bee and more.
On top of that, the first, second and third seasons of Stranger Things each exceeded 30 million hours viewed during that week alone. All four seasons of the series nabbed a spot in the week’s Top 10 list.
The new statistic cements Stranger Things 4 as the second most-watched season in Netflix history, following 2021’s Squid Game. Netflix reported that viewers watched 1.65 billion hours of the South Korean drama in the month after its premiere.
In other entertainment news, HBO Max delivered a new trailer for Issa Rae’s Rap Sh!t.
