Earlier this week, Netflix debuted its official trailer for its first interactive rom-com film, Choose Love. The film is the next in line to utilize the streaming giant’s interactive technology, giving fans the ability to control the outcomes.
The movie follows protagonist Cami Conway, played by Disney veteran Laura Marano. Through the interactive process, audiences will be able to choose her romantic ending. In the trailer, Netflix shows how audiences can determine the way the story plays out by choosing between one of two options at certain moments of the movie. The film will also star Scott Michael Foster, Avan Jogia and Jordi Webber. In this movie, Marano’ character gets the job she has always wanted, a recording engineer, on the right track towards an engagement, marriage and kids with her boyfriend Paul. However, she feels that her life is still not fulfilled, leaving her to question her decisions. Choose Love is directed by Stuart McDonald and written by Josann McGibbon.
In the past, Netflix’s interactive technology began with Black Mirror in the much-buzzed about 2018 episode Bandersnatch. Subsequently, the technology was used on programs like Trivia Quest and various episodes on Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and the Bear Grylls special You vs. Wild.
