The NBA’s G League may not possess the most decorated players in pro basketball, but the tenacity of the competition has always been there. For many, the G League is where dreams stay alive, just ask Khris Middleton, Rudy Gobert, Pascal Siakam, and countless others who’ve gone on to win the NBA Finals and appear in the All-Star game.
To honor the competition, the NBA has teamed up with artist Victor Solomon on a set of new G-League trophies. Emblematic of their recent partnership, which saw the All-Star game honors revamped to sculptural levels, the latest awards imbue a slightly darkened appearance made of a rough concrete texture to capture the grit associated with the NBA’s official minor league.
Each trophy is meticulously detailed and features a cohesive black-to-crystal gradient to symbolize the G League’s well-established platform for development and ascension. Additionally, the G League Logo Man has been brought to life for the first time through a weathered material that captures the perseverance of the competition. The NBA G League regular season ends on April 2 with the beginning of the playoffs starting no earlier than April 5. The best-of-three NBA G League Finals will be presented by YouTube TV and will tip-off on April 12.
