Nathan Fielder and Emma Stone are creepy TV house flippers in trailer for Showtime's The Curse

You know how every couple on HGTV seems to hate each other? In the first trailer for Showtime’s upcoming series The Curse, Nathan Fielder and Emma Stone still have fuzzy feelings for each other, but things are still… off. Ahead of its November 10th premiere, check out the preview for the show below.

In the scripted series, Fielder and Stone portray Asher and Whitney Siegel, hosts of the fictional home improvement show Flipanthropy who are attempting to conceive their first child. The teaser centers on them on set as they repeat some clichéd lines to the camera, feigning enthusiasm through their forced grins. But as the foreboding, shrieking background music insinuates, the effects of an alleged “curse” are hanging over Asher and Whitney’s heads, and it’s not long before the pair’s darker side begins to crack the G-rated surface.

In addition to Fielder and Stone, The Curse stars Benny Safdie (Good Time, Uncut Gems) as Dougie Schecter, the producer of the Siegels’ TV show. Co-created and written by Fielder and Safdie, the 10-episode series marks Fielder’s return to television after helming the cult classic Nathan for You and, more recently, The Rehearsal, the latter of which we named one of the best shows of 2022. After its premiere on Paramount+ with Showtime, the series will debut live on Showtime on Sunday, November 12th, at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT.
