Nas Shares Trailer for ‘Supreme Team’ Docuseries Ahead of Tribeca Festival Premiere

Showtime has dropped off the official trailer for its upcoming docuseries, Supreme Team, directed by Nas and Peter J. Scalettar.

The three-episode docuseries, which chronicles the evolution of the namesake crime syndicate, includes interviews with the gang’s two feared leaders: Kenneth “Supreme” McGriff and his nephew Gerald “Prince” Miller. Additionally, the series will include statements on the ’80s Queens hustlers from LL Cool J, Ashanti, producer Irv Gotti, New York City Mayor Eric Adams, journalist Joy Reid and more.

“IT’S A QUEENS THING,” Nas wrote on Instagram alongside the trailer.

According to an official description, the docuseries will see Supreme and Prince recount “youthful decisions they made in the 1970s that would so greatly impact each of them later in life. What followed was a tightrope walk as these two men navigated choices that could land them as leaders of their industry, or behind bars for life – all the while getting sucked into the chaos in their community which has an impact that is still felt to this day.”

Supreme Team is slated to premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City on Sunday, June 19. The docuseries will then become available to stream on Showtime on July 8.

Elsewhere in entertainment, five Spider-Man films are arriving on Disney+ this week.
