Nas has put out a music video for one of fans’ favorite cuts from Magic 2. Directed by Razak Ologunebi, the “Black Magic” visual sees the Queens rapper attempt to ward off evil spirits in the form of a seemingly possessed woman.
The visual starts out with the woman coming into Nas’ home but things quickly take a turn to the unexpected, with quick shots of her levitating in the air. Nas, meanwhile, drops bars with his hands in prayer, surrounded by candles.
“She having nightmares sleepin’ next to me / Waking up unexpectedly, maybe somebody hexing me,” he raps in the intro. “Questioning blessings on me protect me from weaponry / Hoping she gon’ have the same success if she don’t let ’em in.”
The track, along with the rest of the Magic 2 album, was produced by Nas’ frequent collaborator Hit-Boy. The project arrived in June as the rapper’s sixteenth studio LP and fifth consecutive full-length collaboration with Hit-Boy.
