After announcing his imminent Faith of a Mustard Seed studio project a few weeks back, Mustard has unveiled the first official single from the anticipated LP. The producer tapped Travis Scott to link for the lead single “Parking Lot,” a bouncy offering from the seasoned sonic collaborators.
Carried by a soul sample, “Parking Lot” sees Mustard provide his classically clean production, making it almost too easy for Scott to slide over the beat.
“Ayy, ayy, ayy / 5 a.m. in the parkin’ lot (Yeah) / Four black trucks takin’ parkin’ spots (Yeah) / She reached in my pants to see I’m soft or not (Not) / I’m hard as a motherf*cker, Scott La Rock (Rock),” Scott spits on the chorus, continuing the punchy rhyme pattern. “I gave her good d*ck, the type her heart’ll stop (Heart’ll stop) / Them ass shots on her make an artist drop (Artist).”
“Parking Lot” – which Mustard had been teasing on his Instagram page throughout the week – marks the powerhouse producer’s first follow-up to “Not Like Us.” He even made an appearance at Kendrick Lamar‘s The Pop Out: Ken & Friends to rep his beat.
Stream “Parking Lot” on Spotify and Apple Music now, and expect Faith of a Mustard Seed to drop globally on Friday, July 26.
